Eloise R. Sanchez earned an M.Ed. in curriculum and instruction and a B.A. in early childhood education from the University of Guam. She is currently pursuing another graduate degree in public administration.

Sanchez is the associate superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction for the Guam Public School System (formerly Guam Department of Education). She has worked in this capacity since 1998 overseeing curriculum, program and professional development.

Sanchez has worked with the education department for the past twenty-three years. First, as a classroom teacher for nearly a decade before becoming a school program consultant providing support to kindergarten through fifth grade teachers by facilitating meetings, workshops, and in material and resource development to augment the early childhood education curriculum, program and professional development.

She has also been a part-time instructor of education at the University of Guam and Guam Community College. She is a board member of Pacific Resources for Education Learning, a non-profit corporation that helps U.S.-affiliated Pacific Islands improve their school systems to produce positive educational outcomes, as well as several other boards and councils, which focus on educational improvement.
